In 2019 I was commissioned by Horsham District Council to create a series of artworks forming a walking rail from Pulborough railway station to Pulborough Brooks RSPB nature reserve. The artworks included signage and haymakers as well as several major pieces of sculpture, and there is an app you can use as you walk the trail to get information about the species you might encounter along the way.
The trail starts with “Attack Sequence” – a three meter high monolith with water colour drawings printed on steel, developed from slow motion footage of a barn owl hunting it’s prey. Last Moments Of The Moth is similarly a bat hunting, recreated in hand forged corten steel.
The project was enabled by funding from the European Union.
