Wild Art Trail

In 2019 I was commissioned to work with Horsham District Council, South Downs National Park, RSPB Pulborough Brooks and local community members to create a trail of artworks from Pulborough Railway Station to the visitor centre on the RSPB reserve. The project was funded by the EU and the other project partners were signage manufacturers FWDP and Spark Media, who designed a smartphone App with an animated giant telling stories about the wildlife.

I created hundreds of drawings from a species list, and these were distilled down into the main sculptures, way markers and a fingerposts that you encounter along the trail, passing through a variety of habitats and landscapes along the way. Writing was also an important element of these artworks, and some short poetry appears on some of the artworks.
