From early days helping Brighton council develop their public art policy, and from commissions for LEAD ARTIST roles, public art consultancy has naturally developed alongside Steve’s work as an artist. Steve enjoys collaborative working with other artists and art and design professionals, as well as planners, ADOs, and others involved in development, regeneration, healing environment and placemaking.

Steve uses his creative and analytical skills to put together visions and strategies for commissioning public art. Steve is proud to work frequently in association with arts consultant Frances Lord, a partnership which has flourished and strengthened over recent years because of the different but complimentary skills the partnership offers.
